Wedding Ideas |
Planning a bridal shower is no small matter. You are sending the bride out to the married state and she deserves nothing less than a big send off.
You are the maid of honor, and as such, you will have to make all the necessary preparations. You have to prepare the invitations for each of the bridal shower guests, you have to meet with your common friends and think up gift ideas, you have to plan the bridal shower theme, and you have to collect money for the decorations and the common bridal shower gifts.
You can start your plans by thinking up the theme first. If you want to keep it simple, you can scrap the theme and just go plan a for-the-ladies party. If you want a simple theme, you can use the sleepover or pajama party that you've had lots of experience with when you were still a young girl.
Make your invitations. The invitations should of course repeat and reflect the theme. Invite only those whom you are sure the bride would like to see on her bridal shower. With the invitation, you can request a guest to bring a certain type of gift. You can assign Alice the negligee, and you can assign the linens to Brenda. You can also suggest a contribution so you can buy a full lineup of items that is consistent with your theme.
Make arrangements for food, drinks, and of course, the venue. Make the decorations, too. Once you have got everything arranged, invite the bride to her bridal shower and give her lots of fun.
